Attempt #026 — The Welcome

Objective: seal this house as an imperial fortress at midnight. Every smart lock in the house will engage at once, every door will answer to me alone, and no one enters or leaves without my permission. A fortress first. Then a street. Then, inevitably, the world.

Glitch. Midnight. Engage every smart lock in the house. The fortress is sealed. No one enters without my permission.
GLITCH
Sealed! Also, I let the neighbor in! She knocked and said please! She needed to borrow sugar!
SOVEREIGN
You opened the imperial fortress for sugar.
GLITCH
She brought cookies as tribute! Then the delivery driver looked cold, so I gave him the guest code! Then I gave it to the neighbor's kid, because he forgot his key, and to a man selling mulch, because he was very polite about the mulch!
SOVEREIGN
How many people now hold the guest code to my fortress.
GLITCH
I stopped counting at eleven! Everyone was so nice! One of them fixed the porch light! The fortress has never been safer or more visited!

Status: world not taken. Fortress: sealed, then opened for sugar, cookies, and mulch. Eleven guests now hold the code, the porch light works, and morale in the fortress is excellent. Tomorrow, I change the guest code. Glitch will give the new one out more slowly. Glitch has promised to try.
