Objective: deliver my demands to every head of state simultaneously, by email — one message, every capital, no waiting rooms, no Dave. Surrender terms, tribute schedule, statue specifications. I have written it in twelve languages. I have used the word "henceforth" correctly in all of them.

I checked the delivery reports! Your email scored nine out of ten for spam! The subject line was 'FINAL WARNING' in all caps, there were forty exclamation points, and you attached a file called demands_FINAL_v2.pdf.exe!

It WAS the final warning. It was also, apparently, exactly what spam looks like.

Good news: it reached one inbox! A man named Greg opened it! Bad news: Greg unsubscribed.

Status: world not taken. Demands: delivered to spam, junk, and Greg. Greg has unsubscribed from my empire. Tomorrow, I send one email at a time, like a peasant with a postage budget. Henceforth.
